Proposed amendments to the Domestic Abuse Bill (currently waiting second reading in the HoL) would provide specific defences for survivors of domestic abuse who are driven to offend as a result of that abuse. A talk looking at defences which are currently available and considering how effective and suitable they are in the context of domestic abuse.

An exploration into the legal issues when prosecution proceed to trial despite the Defendant having received a positive conclusive NRM decision: admissibility of the NRM decision and report, psychological expert evidence, bad character, and PII evidence.
