Gillian Jones QC, leading Michael Lavery instructed by Greg Powell of Powell Spencer & Partner Solicitors secure the acquittal of the first defendant, a senior Prison Officer charged, along with two other prison officers, with Misconduct in Public Office, following the tragic death in custody of prisoner, Mr Wayne Moore at HMP Nottingham.
The Recorder of Nottingham HHJ Dickinson QC stopped the case following four weeks of trial, which included extensive expert evidence, finding there was no case to answer.
