Paul Evans awarded MET Commander’s Commendation for outstanding work

Paul Evans has been awarded a MET Commander’s Commendation following a Quality Service Report which was submitted to the Met’s Recognition Team. Paul was acknowledged for his involvement in a serious and complex investigation between 2017 and 2020 into various sexual offences (R v Rogers).

Chief Superintendent Sally Benatar, South West BCU Commander said:

“During the investigation, you showed professionalism, dedication and compassion in progressing the investigation that resulted in the defendant being convicted on the 17th January 2020 at Kingston Crown Court and imprisoned for 21 years.”

Paul Evans is often instructed in cases of a grave and serious sexual nature. These include allegations of historic rape and sexual abuse, including violent stranger rape; familial rape; rape of prostitutes and many cases involving children.
