Red Lion Chambers proudly sponsoring Mock Trials with YoungCitizensUK this Saturday at Guildford Crown Court.

Barristers from chambers have been into schools to train the students on court room advocacy and will be supporting their teams at the heat. Jeremy Benson QC and Hannah Willcox from chambers will be judging the competition. 8 schools from the south of England will be taking part with over 100 students.

Michael Goodwin (Regional Coordinator) said: “On behalf of Red Lion Chambers we are proud to be sponsoring this Saturday’s south of England Young Citizens mock trial heat. This amazing school engagement opportunity run by Young Citizens provides access to the CJS & Criminal Bar to a students from diverse backgrounds, and a platform for public speaking and trial advocacy a s part of the team building trials with the students playing the parts of barristers, court staff, jurors, witnesses and reporters. ” Wishing them all the best of luck.
