RLC member Paul Evans successfully prosecutes Mr. Jamie Rogers who carried out sexual offences while his victims were unconscious.

Mr Rogers, 33, was convicted of 46 counts of rape and other serious sexual offences. Mr Rogers had taken more than 20,000 images of his victims whilst they had been rendered unconscious, the defendant having used sedating drugs upon his them before committing the acts. The crimes were committed over an 8 year period. Mr Rogers was sentenced on the 17th Jan, 2020 at Kingston Crown Court to 21 years’ imprisonment and, having been convicted of serious, specified offences, was found to be a ‘dangerous offender’ and was made subject to a 7 year extended licence period.
