Sailesh Mehta led Mahesh Karu in a kidnap, torture and blackmail case that lasted over 6 weeks at Harrow Crown Court before HHJ Bourne QC

Sailesh represented the main defendant out of a total of 7 defendants. He cross-examined the alleged victim and his mother over 6 days and showed that their evidence was not credible. As a result of the Jury’s verdicts in this case, the Prosecution “offered no evidence” in a follow-on trial of other defendants.
