“Trevor Archer led by Simon Mayo QC represented the Serious Fraud Office in relation to the sixth Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA), which was approved by Mr Justice William Davis on 22 Oct 2019.

The DPA was entered into by Guralp Systems Limited. It had been subject to reporting restrictions until the conclusion of a related trial, which ended on 20 December with acquittals of three individuals. Details of the case are available in the agreed Statement of Facts, which is available on the SFO website via the link below. As a result of this DPA, Guralp Systems Ltd has agreed to pay a total of £2,069,861 for disgorgement of gross profits to the SFO for onward transmission to the Consolidated Fund. The DPA also requires Guralp Systems Ltd to cooperate fully and truthfully with the SFO and to review and maintain its existing internal controls, policies, and procedures regarding compliance with the Bribery Act 2010.
